<image:caption>Katherine Phillips is the Founder and CEO of Health Media Communications. She holds bachelor’s degrees in public health and health communication from the University of Colorado Denver. She has written for many publications, including the Colorado School of Public Health, and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical School and the College of Nursing. Katherine has worked on numerous health campaigns throughout her career. She conducted research and created hand hygiene educational materials for Swedish Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. She also collaborated with University of Colorado Denver students and completed research about stress and burnout among medical students at the University of Colorado. To broaden her experience in health, she joined a research group focused on mental health on college campuses. This group analyzed mental health outcomes and worked to create public health interventions. Additionally, she completed her own research about hand washing and the effectiveness of health campaigns in schools and communities in developing countries. Currently, Katherine collaborates with Florida Voices for Health to create video and podcast content for their annual summit and health policy campaigns. Katherine’s experience working for universities, medical schools, and hospitals has given her the skills and knowledge to deliver health communication messages. Her passion for public health also reflects in her work. Katherine also owns a successful health insurance business. She helps individuals and families navigate the marketplace and is also Medicare certified. Her passion for public health has allowed her to help others gain access to healthcare. Katherine is based out of Tampa, Florida.</image:caption>
